Rhonda Swan is an editorial writer for The Palm Beach Post. She joined The Post in 2005 as government editor.
She began her journalism career as a reporter for what is now The Republican in her hometown of Springfield, Ma. She was assistant city editor at the Wilmington (Del) News Journal and supervised health and education coverage as a metro editor for the Daily Press in Newport News, Va.
She earned a journalism degree at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and taught journalism at the university and at Springfield College. She also is a former radio talk show host.
She is the recipient of a Journalist of the Year award from the National Association of Black Journalists' New England region and is president of the Palm Beach Association of Black Journalists.
She is the author of Dancing to the Rhythm of My Soul: A Sister’s Guide for Transforming Madness into Gladness.
